This project is dedicated to preserving the Allen, Pierrish, Thomas, Purdaby family histories. The women in these families worked very hard to preserve their Secwepemc culture at a time when they were forbidden to speak their native tongue. They became Elders who spent their lives sharing their wisdom and knowledge, ensuring that theirs was a living culture.
In my Great Grandmother’s words, “I just want to promote understanding between people and cultures.”
